Special Meeting

The Freeland Water and Sewer District has devoted years to the development of a sanitary sewer system for Freeland. Despite the substantial effort and several different proposals, no solution has been found that would not cause economic hardship to both commercial and residential property owners. Therefore, the District suspended work on the sewer project last year.
Before taking a formal vote ending District efforts to implement a sewer system, the District Board of Commissioners will hold a public meeting to explain its findings and to solicit community feedback. That meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at the office of Whidbey Water Services, 5585 Lotto Avenue, Freeland.
You can read the summary here.
Comments may also be submitted by May 7 via mail (PO Box 222, Freeland, WA 98249) or by email (info@freelandwsd.com)
